Man Taken Into Custody On Drug Charges In New York

A 65-year-old man was taken into custody after a narcotics investigation by New York State Police.

Members of the State Police Troop D Violent Gang and Narcotics Enforcement Team arrested Michael J. Griggs, of Utica.

On November 7, VGNET members conducted an undercover operation and found Griggs in possession of approximately one ounce of cocaine.

Griggs faced charges of criminal sale of a controlled substance in the second degree, a class A-II felony, and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, a class B felony.

He was charged at Oneida County Centralized Arraignment Court.
