Deputies suspected him of stalking people at area banks in the past.

According to an arrest warrant, the individual charged in this jugging case did not only follow a victim home from the bank; he returned three times, attempting to obtain cash.

According to investigators, the suspect was unaware that his every step had been captured on camera.

According to investigators, Lair’s carefully planned jugging scam began on October 16, when he reportedly followed a man home from a bank in the 10,000 block of Potranco Road.

The victim had just withdrawn $1000 in cash. When he got home, he took the money inside, but when he came back out, he found his passenger window shattered.

Lair had no idea that cameras had been recording him the entire time.

The victim’s car camera showed Lair’s SUV following him from the bank, and house surveillance video captured the moment Lair leaped out and smashed into the vehicle.

According to the warrant, he could not discover what he was looking for, so he returned several times, digging through the vehicle twice more.

Deputies said clear video evidence shattered his scheme.

A few days later, they discovered Lair’s SUV parked at two more westside banks, ideally positioned to monitor the front entrances.

When deputies attempted to stop him, Lair refused to pull over, prompting a brief pursuit until he was apprehended.

Lair was arrested on Wednesday and handed a $7,500 bond. His last known address was in Pearland, which is located outside of Houston.
