This week, snow is expected to fall across virtually all of Pennsylvania.
Mike Dangelo, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service at State College, predicts a “rather complex storm system” on the way.

Dangelo predicted that the northern tier, particularly the counties bordering New York, will receive the greatest snow.
On Wednesday and Thursday, some regions in the state’s northwestern half might get up to 3 inches of snow.
“I think the lighter stuff will be over southeast PA,” Dangelo said, adding that there is a chance for heavier precipitation due to “a weak low-pressure system that could form over the mid-Atlantic and go up the East Coast.”
However, he stated that “everybody else is going to get an inch or less.”
The Lower Susquehanna Valley, which includes Harrisburg and the surrounding areas, will “probably only get a half-inch or less coating,” according to Dangelo.
“The word ‘snow’ starts to scare people,” stated the gentleman. “But there will be some light precipitation, including snowfall, on Wednesday night and Thursday morning. Thereafter, it becomes generally sunny again.”
While Dangelo predicts “no big storms out there in the [near] future,” the weather will undoubtedly become colder.
“High temperatures on Thursday will be right around freezing,” he informed us. “It gets a little bit colder [around Harrisburg] every day until the weekend.”
