A man has been arrested in Jackson County as part of an ongoing burglary investigation. He is suspected of stealing more than $11,000 in merchandise. According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, as reported by FOX17, Ralph Phy was arrested after the finding of stolen things such as a chainsaw, electronic equipment, and surveillance-related items.
The theft took place in the Hardscrabble section of the Donelson Branch community, where authorities discovered evidence of break-ins at many structures on the property. According to WSMV, Phy initially denied involvement but later acknowledged the thefts after deputies discovered a chainsaw, additional stolen items, and witness testimony. Phy’s confession marked a turning point in the inquiry, resulting in the recovery of additional property.
Further confessions by Phy showed the theft of many laptop computers, gaming equipment, and other tools, all of which were eventually discovered at his home. “The total value of recovered and confirmed stolen items at this time is $11,440, with additional items still being recovered,” the sheriff’s department said. This material was provided in response to Phy’s extra assistance, as reported by WKRN.
Officials have yet to reveal the complete list of charges against Phy, who is presently being jailed on a $199,000 bond, according to police enforcement. The case is still active, with continuous efforts to catalogue the entire range of the recovered items and maybe identify further stolen things still to be discovered. Despite the hiccups, the sheriff’s department’s announcement highlighted the accomplishments accomplished thus far in a post shared on social media.
