Child Fatally Overdoses After Arizona Woman Supplied Meth, Fentanyl; Receives Prison Sentence

An Arizona woman was recently sentenced to prison for providing drugs to a child who later died of an overdose.

Stacie Narcho, 47, pled guilty to child abuse for giving methamphetamine and fentanyl to a 14-year-old on the Tohono O’odham Nation in November 2022, according to court records.

The child later died from meth and fentanyl toxicity. On January 22, Narcho was sentenced to 15 years in prison, followed by three years of supervised release.

U.S. Attorney Timothy Courchaine of the Arizona district said Narcho’s case is a “stark reminder” of the dangers of giving drugs to children.

“A young life was lost, and a family was forever changed,” Courchaine said in a statement. “The District of Arizona will continue to hold individuals accountable when their choices place vulnerable children at risk and undermine the safety of our communities.”
