A woman is dead and a man is under arrest following what authorities are calling a homicide in a Montgomery County retirement community.
Montgomery County Police said the incident occurred at 6 p.m. at the Leisure World retirement community off Georgia Avenue in Silver Spring.

I’m just in shock. One of the reasons I opted to live here a year and a half ago was because it is a gated and safe community, but it appears that whoever perpetrated the killing is now in custody,” said resident Alyssa Dortort.
