PSP Report: More Than 3,000 Firearm Purchases Denied And 20 People Taken Into Custody

Pennsylvania State Police released their second-quarter report of firearm denials, which showed that more than 3,000 individuals were denied.

According to their 2025 report, there were over 238,000 Pennsylvania Instant Checks conducted. County sheriffs, chiefs of police in first-class cities, and registered weapons dealers employ these checks to evaluate a person’s ability to receive a handgun through a purchase or transfer, as well as obtain a license to legally carry firearms.
