U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agents in Texas seized over 900 pounds of methamphetamine from a commercial truck shipment manifested as tile.
The drug seizure occurred on April 21 at the Pharr International Bridge cargo facility in Pharr, Texas.

A commercial tractor trailer from Reynosa, Mexico, approached the facility and was referred for a secondary inspection with nonintrusive inspection equipment and canine screening.
CBP’s physical search of the trailer uncovered 200 packages weighing a total of 908.30 pounds of suspected methamphetamine concealed between the pallets of tile.
The seized substances had an estimated street value of $8,119,696.
CBP seized both the drugs and the large truck.
Homeland Security opened a criminal probe into the incident.
