On Thursday evening, Owasso Police responded to a theft in progress at the Ulta Beauty store on North 121st East Avenue. Their quick action resulted in the arrest of two women who were attempting to steal approximately $10,600 in items.
Christine Louise Fields, 33, and Dameca Dasean Fields, 33, both of Tulsa, were apprehended as they attempted to flee the scene with huge bags containing store merchandise. Authorities said the women left the business without paying for the items they had taken.
Fortunately, officers were already in the vicinity investigating another theft case when they received the call about the Ulta shop theft. They arrived promptly and apprehended the women before they fled in their vehicle.
Christine Louise Fields is now facing multiple counts, including grand larceny, conspiracy to commit a felony, drug possession, and an outstanding theft warrant. Dameca Dasean Fields is charged with grand larceny, conspiracy to conduct a felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The stolen item was recovered and returned to the store thanks to the Owasso Police Department’s quick response.
The Owasso Municipal Jail processed both women before transporting them to the Tulsa County Jail. The police praised the vigilant callers who reported the theft, as well as the patrol night shift’s rapid response, for the successful arrest of the offenders.
