On June 20, 2025, the Dallas Police Department’s Gang Unit conducted a targeted operation in downtown’s West End area, with the aim of disrupting criminal activity and identifying gang members. The operation was assisted by the Central Business District Task Force, as well as police from the Dallas Police Department Central Patrol and DART Police Department.
“Our mission is about more than making arrests. It’s about keeping the city safe,” stated Assistant Chief Catrina M. Shead. The operation resulted in six arrests and the seizure of 61 grams of methamphetamine, 2.5 grams of cocaine, and 4.1 grams of PCP, according to the department’s press statement. The case numbers for the investigations are 087818-2025, 087831-2025, 087832-2025, 087897-2025, and 088396-2025.
