The Ridgeline Basketball team has been on a roll lately. The boys basketball team played the Sky View Bobcats on their last home game of the season. This game was the opposite of a blowout at the end of the first quarter; the score was Ridgeline Hawks 11 and the Sky View Bobcats at 10. This game was really intense with the Student section getting involved talking smack to the opposing team and even directing chants to certain players. For the first 3 minutes of the second quarter the score didn’t change, staying at 11 to 10. The Ridgeline boys were first to score Preston Brenchley got them an easy mid range floater to give the Ridgeline boys a bucket and the momentum. They proceeded to go up by five more making the score Ridgeline 17, Sky view Bobcats 10 making this a 6-0 run for the Riverhawks. With the second quarter coming to a close with 3 minutes left Ridgeline scored 8 more points making the score gap slowly get bigger with the score being Ridgeline Hawks 25, Sky view Bobcats 19. During halftime the Ridgeline Cheer Squad had senior night, a great way to celebrate all of our senior cheerleaders, a great celebration and a night to remember. Going into the second half 4 minutes into the third quarter the Ridgeline boys came out strong. They went on a 5-0 run against the Sky View boys making the score 30-19. Nearing the end of the third quarter the Ridgeline Boys were up 42-32 giving them the momentum and confidence going into the fourth quarter. As they were doing all game, Ridgeline boys started off the fourth quarter by going on another 5-0 run giving them a larger lead. Skyview responded by scoring four points while they went on a 4-2 run in 3 minutes. As the game progressed so did the lead for the Riverhawks. The Ridgeline Riverhawks closed out the game with a 14 point differential making the final score Ridgeline 57, Sky view Bobcats 43.
