Florida Man Arrested for Throwing Cheeseburger From His Car in an Angry Angus Drive-By

There wouldn’t be a day of the week without an eyebrow-raising, ridiculously ridiculous Florida man story. And this one takes the cake. Not exactly cake, but more of a cheeseburger crime. A former strip club employee got into a fight at a Tampa-area gentlemen’s club, which resulted in a drive-by shooting with meat, cheese, and pickles instead of guns.

A cheeseburger is rarely used as a weapon. Ballistically speaking, a meaty sandwich is a better supper than a projectile. However, it did not deter one Florida man from using the quarter-pounder in his car to settle a score.

According to The Smoking Gun, Jordan Cotta, 26, arrived at the Atlantis Gentlemen’s Club near Tampa. However, the Florida man was not there to patronize the establishment. No, he had a bone to pick with management.

Clearly, Cotta did not get the anticipated goal. He stomped out to his car, grabbed a cheeseburger, and tossed it at another Floridian. You might not imagine that a cheeseburger would cause any harm. However, the victim of the hefty battering claims differently.

The man claims the burger struck him in the shoulder, causing “bodily harm.” The criminal complaint is equally funny. “The defendant stated that he did throw a cheeseburger from his vehicle,” the lawsuit read.

As if to emphasize his antics, the Florida man reportedly informed authorities, “he would do it again.” Keep this driver away from drive-thrus.

This is not Cotta’s only run-in with the law this year, either. Last month, police detained the 26-year-old for stealing his uncle’s yacht. During that wonderful example of decision-making, he stole a rifle and sold it to a relative for $300.
