Yesterday, February 14, 2018, seventeen people lost their lives, and at least fourteen were injured due to a school shooter.

Students recorded with their electronics as the shooter was in the building. You can actually go online and look for yourself, but for the purpose of trying to make this school appropriate, I will not post any photos or videos of the scene.

It’s terrifying to see as the kids try and calm each other down while hearing gunshots. No kid should have to go through that. No parent should have to send their kid off to school and then never see them again. No sibling should have to come home from a different school, and find out that their brother or sister is dead because someone shot them. I know it sounds a bit graphic, but that is the mournful truth.

From our school to yours, our hearts go out to you, and anyone else who was affected.
