Two people were injured after a stabbing in Madison County, according to authorities.
A stabbing was reported in the 300 block of Shady Lane, and the Madison County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division responded. When deputies arrived, they discovered that Emanual Samual, 47, and Latisha Samual, 44, had been involved in an altercation that resulted in the incident.
According to authorities, Emanual Samuel received a puncture wound to his left bicep as well as injuries to his hand. Latisha Samual also suffered injuries to her hand. Officials said the injuries to both people were not life-threatening.
HEMSI emergency medical staff evaluated both at the site before taking them to a hospital for further treatment. Both were arrested following medical treatment.
According to officials, each was charged with second-degree assault and released on a $2,500 bond.
The Madison County Sheriff’s Office stated that the investigation is underway.
