The first of four $100,000 top prizes in the New Jersey Lottery’s new “Chocolate Cash” scratch-off game was sold earlier this month at a Union County gas station, according to authorities.
The top prize was claimed on an April 6 ticket purchased at the Pine Street Amoco, located at 232 Third St. in Elizabeth.
The $5 game began on April 1, with around 4.9 million printed tickets.
In addition to the three remaining $100,000 prizes, 37 of the initial 40 $5,000 awards remain in circulation.
Chocolate Cash is a simplistic scratch-off game featuring four winning numbers and fifteen player numbers. Matching any player number to a winning number yields a prize.
The game also has three automatic win symbols: a moneybag, a pie slice, and a stack of dollars.
