As this school year begins to come to an end, so will the seasons of Ridgeline’s sports teams. The boys soccer season is slowly starting to wrap up as summer nears. On April 28, 2022, Senior Night took place for our school’s boys soccer team. The event was held on Ridgeline’s soccer field. The game took place against Mountain Crest, their rival team.

Coach of the sophomore boys team, Ethan Green, described the event as, “A night to honor all of the seniors on the team, as well as all of the hard work they’ve put into these past four years.” Parents, coaches, students, friends, and teammates gathered in support of honoring these players before the game began. Each senior was recognized and showered with applause, appreciation, support, and encouragement.

After the seniors were recognized, the game began. The game was intense and displayed the team’s unity through some of their best plays. Unfortunately, the weather was not as supportive as the crowd in the stands. It ended up raining throughout the day but the boys endured through the unpleasant conditions and ended up winning the game 2-0. It will definitely be a night to remember not only for the seniors who were recognized, but also everyone else that was involved.

Supporters of the team sure seemed proud and excited as the team climbed toward success together. The team and its supporters are sad to see the season start to come to a close, but are excited to enjoy the upcoming state playoffs. The team is currently first in state, making the season an even more exciting one to witness.
