An El Paso Police Department officer was taken into custody and charged with driving while intoxicated.
According to jail records, Jasson Medina Rivera was arrested for DWI on Friday, April 17, and released the same day after posting a $2,500 bond.
The El Paso Police Department stated in an email to KFOX14/CBS4 on Tuesday that the officer has been relieved of their responsibilities.
“Yes, he is an EPPD officer, and he has been relieved of duty,” an EPPD official confirmed.
