Everybody deserves to have a good holiday season and life is definitely not the same for each individual person. There are tons and tons of kids right now that don’t have a home or a family to sit down with for Thanksgiving, no parents to give them Christmas presents. They might not even get anything for Christmas. Its a sad day when the foster care system is so broken that all of these kids still don’t have homes and may have to age out of the system. Meaning that they wont get a home and then they will be too old to care for. If you are someone who believes that everyone deserves to have a good holiday season, you can help. There are a few charity opportunities at Ridgeline currently. If you wanted to donate food to the school’s food drive that you be a very selfless and generous thing to do. If you have a few extra toys that you don’t need or $10 to spare you can buy a toy and give it to the Little Lambs toys charity. Along with the Little lambs toy supply shortage, they need normal everyday stuff like blankets and if you were to go to the GSA club here at Ridgeline (afterschool room 225), they will be making blankets and possibly care packages for the kids in need at Little Lambs. They meet on Tuesdays and are always looking for people to join and to help make the holidays for these foster kids just a little it better. So, give back a little of what you get this year and donate. It will be much appreciated by them.
