RHS Lip Sync Battle

RHS+Lip+Sync+Battle

On December 6, at Ridgeline High School a lip sync battle was held in the auditorium. There was a total of eight performances. The top performance, Caden Finley and Hallie Hansen (“The Hikers”) performed “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough.” “It took a lot of preparing… the night before” says Caden.  Ashlie Lott and Emmalee Smedley performed the song “I Will Survive” and tied “The Hikers” for first place, resulting in a dance battle to determine the winner.

The song chosen for the dance battle was “Don’t Stop Believing.” The dance battle was “kind of scary” according to Caden because they didn’t know what song was going to be played. Ashlie and Emmalee felt that the song was good for lip syncing but not good for dancing. They wished that the song was more of a disco song, “I think we could have won if it would have been a different song.”

The lip sync battle was, all in all, a really fun event for all of the students to watch. The first place winners were “very exited” about winning, Caden Finley and Hallie Hansen took first place and their much deserved trophy.
